Last updated: October 19, 2026Reaching The Unreached Inc. ("RTU") is a Jacksonville-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit bringing food, education and hope to children and families in Jacksonville and across Latin America. Families, donors and volunteers trust us with their information, and protecting it is part of our mission.
This policy applies to reachingtheunreached.org (in English and Spanish), our donation and registration forms, and the services we use to run them. It explains:
- What information we collect and how we use it
- Who we share it with, and who we never share it with
- How we protect children’s information
- Your choices to see, correct or delete your information
- How we keep your information secure
- How to contact us
Our promise to donors
Your trust is what makes our work possible. That is why we promise:
- We will never sell, rent or trade your name, email address or any other personal information.
- We will not send mailings on behalf of other organizations.
- We will only use your information for the purposes described in this policy.
- If you ask, we will keep your gift anonymous in any public recognition.
Information we collect
We only collect the information you choose to give us when you donate, register, write to us or sign up for our news, plus some basic technical data about how the site is used.
- Donations and payments: name, email, billing address, amount and frequency. Card details are processed directly by Stripe; RTU never sees or stores your full card number.
- Program registrations (soccer, English, safety, culture and law classes): participant name, date of birth, parent or guardian contact details, ZIP code, preferred language and anything you choose to share.
- Contact and newsletter forms: name, email, phone and your message.
- Website use: we use Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how the site is used and to measure our ads. These tools use cookies and technical data such as browser type and pages visited.
How we use information
- To process donations and payments and send tax receipts.
- To manage registrations, schedules, family communication and participant safety.
- To answer your questions and respond to your requests.
- To send you news about our programs and ways to support the mission, only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To meet legal and accounting requirements.
Who we share it with
We share only what is needed, and only with those who help us carry out our mission:
- Program partners, such as CH4 Soccer Academy, receive only the details they need to run the program you registered your child for.
- Service providers that help us operate: Stripe (payments), our website host, Google (email, analytics and ads) and Mailchimp (newsletter). They may only use the information to provide that service to us.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it or to protect a child’s safety.
Children’s information
- Information about players and students under 18 must be provided by their parent or legal guardian.
- We only ask for what we need to register, contact the family and keep children safe. Please don’t send medical records through the form; if a coach needs more detail about allergies or health, we will follow up with you privately.
- Children’s information is only visible to RTU staff and the coaches or partners running the program you registered for.
- We do not publish photos or full names of minors without permission from their parent or guardian.
How long we keep it
- Program registrations: for the program season or cycle and up to 2 years after, then deleted.
- Donation records: 7 years, as U.S. tax rules require.
- Contact messages: up to 2 years.
